Doc Hoff Memorial to Rutherford; Davis Three-Peats in 600's

Mike Rutherford, the last driver to steer Doc Hoff's Jolly Cholly No. 2 at Lanco, won Saturday's 270cc main event that was run in memory of his late car owner. Doc's wife, Wilma, along with grandsons A.J. and Joe, were on hand to witness Rutherford's victory in the first Doc Hoff Memorial Race for the 270cc Micro-Sprints.

Jared Davis notched his third triumph of 2010 in the 600cc Micros, while Bradley Brown captured the first Micro-Sprint victory of his career in the main event for the 125cc racers. Jason Swavely registered his fifth win of the year in the Sportsman class, and Chip Geib recorded his sixth triumph of the season in the 25-lapper for the 250cc Four-Strokes.

Rutherford won his first 270cc feature of the season at Clyde Martin on Saturday. He was the last person to drive for Doc Hoff at Lanco.

Jared Davis is the only driver with more than one victory in the 600cc class this season. Saturday's win was his third of 2010.

Bradley Brown captured his first career Micro-Sprint victory in Saturday's 125cc feature.

Jason Swavely's triumph in the Sportsman class was his fifth of the year, tying him with Ken Miller for most wins in that division.

Chip Geib's victory in the main event for the 250cc Four-Strokes was his sixth of the season.
