Just as teams were arriving and settling into their pit stalls, torrential rain storms created high tide at the Clyde, forcing Lanco officials to cancel Saturday night's Micro-Sprint program at the Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway.
Viper Chassis was listed as the event sponsor on Saturday, and a new date will be discussed to make up the Viper sponsorship.
Next Saturday, August 20, Hyper Racing will sponsor the evening of high speed adventure that will be highlighted by the appearance of the HTMA 600 Pro Series. A dual heat race format will be used for the 600cc competitors, with a passing points system utilized to determine the top qualifiers. Double points (toward the Pro Series Championship) will be offered to the 24 drivers who start the 600cc main event.
The 270cc, 125cc, sportsman, and 250cc Four-Stroke Micro-Sprints will join the HTMA 600 Pro Series on Saturday's menu.
Gates open at 3:30 with warm-ups at 5 pm. The first heat race gets then green flag at 6:00.
