Newmanstown, Pa - A valiant effort by the track crew was wasted when a second band of precipitation moved in and drenched the facility, forcing cancellation of the scheduled event at Lanco's Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway on Saturday, May 3rd.
A fairly heavy shower doused the track around 3:45, leading to the delay and major effort by the track crew. Just as the cars were called for warm-ups at 7 p.m., a second round of rainfall arrived and the clay surface, already soaked by the midweek monsoon in the central PA region, simply could not absorb any additional moisture.
Saturday, May 10, is Fan Appreciation Night, when all spectators over the age of 12 will be admitted for just $1.00. Fans who are 12 years old and younger will get in for FREE on Saturday!
Gates open at 3:30, with warm-ups scheduled to begin at 5:00. The first heat race goes green at 6 p.m.
The format calls for qualifying heats, consolations, and 25-lap features for the 600cc, 270cc, 125cc, Sportsman, and 250cc Four-Stroke Micro-Sprints.
It's Fan Appreciation Night, so you've got to come out and LIVE the excitement that is Lanco!
