Brickerville, Pa. -  Lanco's Board of Directors has decided to allow 12 and 13-year-olds to compete in the 125cc and 250cc Four-Stroke classes, beginning with Practice Night on April 10.
These are the only two classes in which drivers under the age of 14 will be permitted to race.
A policy for 12 and 13-year-olds is being developed; the details of that policy will be made public as soon as it is complete and approved by the Board.

When the second annual Micromania for 600's is run on July 3rd, the 270cc micros will also be part of the big show. The 270 Clash at the Clyde will be limited to 40 entries, with Lanco club members receiving preference. Non-members may submit an entry form, and if club members do not fill the entry list by a specified date, non-members will be accepted in the order their entry form was received.
Provided there are 40 entries, the winner will be paid $1,000, and the race will pay $100 to take the green.
The Clash at the Clyde will consist of four qualifying heats, a B-Main, and a 25-lap feature.
Additional information regarding the 270 Clash at the Clyde will be released in the next few weeks, and the entry form will be available on this website in the near future.

In other news, the first Lanco Golf Tournament is scheduled for June 30. It will be held at a course in Lebanon, PA. Details will be announced in the coming weeks.

As mentioned, Practice Night is slated for Saturday, April 10. The 2010 season opener takes the green flag on Saturday, April 17. The weekly menu will again consist of 600cc, 270cc, 125cc, Sportsman, and 250cc Four-Stroke Micro-Sprints.

The Xcel 600 Modifieds will make a pair of Clyde Martin appearances during the upcoming season, on May 29 and June 26.

The culmination of this year's PA 600 Speedweek, Micromania, will bring the best 600cc Micros to the Clyde on July 3. The 270 Clash at the Clyde will also be part of this event.

Wayne Lesher's 600 Pro Series will visit the Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway on August 21, while the track's annual Labor Day Shootout takes center stage on September 4th and 5th.

Make 2010 the year you come out to LIVE the excitement that is Lanco!
